CRL Miniature Model 6000 and 7000 Accelerometers Offer Features Normally Available Only On Standard Size Sensor
The 6000 series of micro-miniature accelerometers from Columbia Research Laboratories have been perfected over the years so that they may be used for general purpose work. Originally intended exclusively for studies where space and weight restrictions were major factors, they now feature detachable cables, a special inverted seismic element for mechanical isolation, and other features normally available only on standard size units. All units are equipped with the exclusive Columbia micro-miniature detachable cable and connector assemblies.
The 7000 series accelerometers are true micro-miniature "shear mode" design transducers which offer performance characteristics and accuracies normally only available with the more conventional size accelerometers. For example, although the Model 7001 weighs only 2.8 grams, it features a charge sensitivity of 3 pc/g and a wide frequency range out to 5 KHz.
High temperature models of both series are available and will operate to +500°F. These miniature accelerometers are an excellent choice for general purpose shock and vibration measurement work. Designed for the measurement of medium to high frequency and moderate to high level shock and vibration, they are especially well suited for testing of small specimens.
